Ralph Flores is an excellent person who knows his trade well. He came out to look at my headache of a problem with gutters on the house we just purchased and even though the previous owner had to install a new roof for the purchase to go through, they replaced the old gutters, that were undersized and sectioned instead of seamless, back on the roof.
The old gutters leaked and even overflowed in one section (like Niagra Falls) due to the the fact they were installed in a reverse slope of to the downspout and not enough downspouts.
The overflow was pouring onto the back deck and splashing on the rear wooden door that was being destroyed for years by the problem.
As I am mechanically inclined and nit-picky, I asked Ralph many things and even questioned his remedy of installing standard seamless 5″ gutters (a step up from the current ones) at the proper angle, which the roof slope made difficult due to the sagging of that area, and just adding 2 more downspouts. I didn’t think that would be enough to fix the problem considering the volume of
water that would overflow when it rained hard. He assured me that his remedy would do the trick and went with his decision.
Ralph and his crew arrived right on time and were very friendly. Ralph explained the situation to his team and the foreman was always showing me how they calculated and fabricated their art when I asked. All the corners were custom cut and riveted so there were no fitted joints. (one less area to leak). They completed very skilled work and made everything look so much better. Everything was cleaned up and hauled away.
I was still skeptical about the remedy and couldn’t wait for it to rain again to see how it would do. A few days later at 2:00am, sure enough it did, so I got my flashlight and checked every square inch of the gutters. Like Ralph said, it all worked great!
