I called Ralph and made an appointment at 8:00am, he showed up on time and gave me a quote in 20min after measuring the house. the drains were already there and I had taken out the old gutters myself when I had the house painted so this was a relatively easy job. I had another appointment the next day for another quote from the competition. they quoted me 20% higher price for the same job. I called back Ralph and made an appointment to start the job. they came on time they worked the whole day but they could not finish it the same day and they came back the next day and finished the job. they knew what they were doing, they did a clean job and I was very happy. I would highly recommend them.
when I talked to Ralph, he was very honest and I did not feel like he was trying to sell me anything.

An awesome job, they did all custom miters with the box gutters and smooth downspouts.

Came on agreed date and installed new gutters on the house and garage. The next day it rained and everything worked as expected. No problems.

Ralph scoped out the work and was very knowledgeable. My main concern with the existing gutters was that they were starting to pull away from the roof because the ends of the wooden rafters of the house were deteriorated to the point that the nails were too loose. Even if I hammered the nails back in, a light rain would easily cause the gutters to pull away again and sag.
Ralph pointed out additional issues, including poor drainage, which was causing long-term damage to the integrity of the house and surrounding concrete. He pointed out how you could see sky between the roof and the old gutters. He proposed new positions for the downspouts to improve drainage, and also suggested the hidden hangars, which would eliminate the need to use nails or replace the rafters. We ultimately went with Brothers because other estimators would have required replacing and painting the rafters, which would have led to a delay in installing the actual gutters.
On the day of the installation, Ralph called to reschedule because one of their fabrication machines jammed… while trying to unjam the machine, they ended up breaking it. Replacement parts were not available until the following week. These things happen, so I
did my best to be understanding… nevertheless, I had to telecommute two days instead of just one, which had a negative effect on my own job.
I don’t know much about gutters, so I asked more than my share of silly questions. Ralph got a bit testy. He scoffed at my idea of test-driving the gutters by pouring actual water down them. This is So Cal and we’re in the middle of a serious drought… I didn’t want to have to wait potentially several months to find out if there were any flaws. He cited several times his many years of experience as a reason enough for a physical test drive of his product to be unnecessary.
Also, it was important for my wife that he personally be there, at least initially, to kick off the installation. Perhaps that’s unusual, but he did agreed to do this. However, he never showed up and left some explanation message as to why.
Once the job got started, the crew was very professional and did a great job. (Unfortunately, the overall professional rating has to be a “B” because of the previous two paragraphs.) Very pleased with the outcome – the gutters are beautiful. It did in fact rain a couple of weeks after the installation, and they performed perfectly. The ground next to the walls of the house remained bone dry.
This is kind of irrelevant, but I must share an unexpected moment of pure and utter joy that was a direct result of our new gutters. Now, I need to explain that my neighbor’s cat loves to poo in my front yard. When I first discussed the problem with my neighbor, he just shrugged it off as though it was not his responsibility. Since direct confrontation didn’t seem to be effective, my passive-aggressive solution was to scoop it up and leave it in a pile next to his driveway. While the growing pile was still on my side of the property line, I had hoped that my neighbor would at least be able to partake in the visuals and aromatics of it all. Such was the state of things for the past few years. Well, the morning after the first rain, I ran outside to see how the gutters did. Again, they did exactly what the were supposed to do. But to my surprise and delight, the newly positioned downspout also managed to wash the entire pile of poo clean away, and right onto my neighbor’s driveway. HOORAY FOR BROTHERS!!

Ralph was great to work with — knowledgable, conscientious, and warm. His crew was also very nice to work with. I’d definitely recommend this company.

No response, very unprofessional.

SEAMLESS is the word that keeps coming to mind to describe our interactions with Brothers Sheetmetal. — The estimate and bids were seamless because Ralph arrived on time and gave us a quick but thorough estimate on the spot followed by a final price promptly by email after we made a couple of adjustments. — The scheduling was seamless as we were given lots of advance notice and the job happened exactly as planned after Ralph confirmed that the color and type of metal we chose had arrived on time. — The work process was smooth and seamless. Jairo and his brother quietly, carefully, and expertly crafted beautiful gutters and downspouts that actually add a nice trimmed-out look to our home. — The gutters themselves — one over 50 feet long — are seamless, not to mention strong and sleek. So this means they will perform well and live up to the lifetime warranty provided. These guys are total pros and I can’t think of a single thing that I would want to improve in the work process, the finished product, or the paperwork. If you need gutters, go to Brothers Sheetmetal. You’ll have a seamless experience too!

We interviewed a couple companies for the job. There is a vast difference in the quality Brothers Sheet Metal provided and the other companies. Their competitors wanted to sell us cheap white aluminium for comparable costs! Ralph took one look at our house and began to make suggestions, even walking us to different homes in our neighborhood to point out examples. Ralph delivered samples not once but TWICE until we found the right one. The crew that installed the gutters was on time, well organized and very professional.
The gutter style and color blend seamlessly into our roof line and we are eagerly awaiting the first rains!

The gutters provide a significant part of the aesthetic value of my home.

After reading all the positive reviews about Brothers Sheet Metal, I met with Ralph regarding the gutters. Ralph arrived on time and immediately understood the look I wanted. He also offered constructive suggestions that I followed.

His workers also demonstrated the same high level of professionalism and executed exactly what I wanted. The gutters look beautiful and we have been receiving complements from the neighbors about them.

Ralph?s team also fabricated some custom flashings for me during a last minute crisis (for something unrelated to the gutter installation). I really appreciate them coming through for me like this.

After the gutters were completed, I approached Ralph to see if he would be able to fabricate a custom copper chimney shroud. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that this something else that he has vast experience in.

My experience with Brothers Sheet Metal was most positive. I will recommend them to anyone I know and look forward to more projects with them.
