In spite of a few minor scheduling hiccups for the estimate and the work, I ended up being very happy that I chose Brother’s Sheetmetal.
Ralph was very clear during the estimate and quoted a great price, including the Angie’s discount.
Butit was when I saw the expertise and skill of the installers, Jairo and Neris, that I knew I had the right crew working on my home.
They listened to my requests regarding downspout locations and configurations and executed the plan perfectly. Jairo made a few suggestions that were better than what I had planned, so I went with them.
It sounds corny, but I actually got the feeling that these were not only great craftsmen, but also good human beings – caring and courteous.
After the job was finished – on time and on budget – I called Ralph to thank him for the excellent job. He’s a classy guy with a great crew.

The work was good. Ralph came out and he was great. They were very prompt and got done in the amount of time they quoted. I would tell a friend that they are bit expensive, but they seemed to be very knowledgeable.

After seeing strong reviews on Angie’s List, I called for an estimate; a machine answered, but someone called back and said that an estimator would call the next day to make an appointment. I never heard back, so I called again about a week later, and was told the same thing. A week later, I called and mentioned that this was the third call, and had yet to hear from anybody; the woman who answered the phone apologized and said she would look into it and get someone to call back. Still no call back, so I gave up and called someone else on Angie’s List, who unlike Brothers, did everything right and got the job.

I called Dec.11th and was told someone would get back to me the next morning. I did not receive a call. I called again on Dec 18th and asked why I haven’t heard back. I was told that they would look into it. When I asked when I would get a call back, I was told “sometime this week” because we have a lot of people on our list. I asked where I was on the list, given that I called either the 10th or the 11th, and she said she did not know, but would check. When I asked when I would hear back from her, she said “probably tomorrow”. Very bad customer service.

I was happy with the service and material provided by Ralph and his crew. Ralph was prompt to provide an estimate, which included a diagram showing the location of the downspouts. The job included complete fabrication and installation of new gutters and downspouts. I had requested heavier gauge aluminum be used. Although it was a special order, Ralph was able to quickly find what I was looking for and gave me a fair price. In addition, he was able to accommodate our tight deadline so not to interfere with any of the other work that was in progress. His crew was nice and answered my questions during the installation process. They hauled away the old material and left the work area clean.

We were having our old house repainted, and I really wanted the finishing touch to be the replacement of the rain gutters that had rusted away some fifty years ago. I knew that copper would look great, but I feared it would be unaffordable. The first estimate from a Pasadena competitor at over $17,000 almost made me give up on this idea. But after meeting with Ralph from Brothers Sheet Metal, and reading his great reviews on Angie’s List and beyond, I received his estimate, and was more than pleased that it was more than 60% lower than the previous bid. The job was tricky, as they had to fit the gutters over existing notches in the rafter tails, and several of the seamless gutter sections were so long that three men were needed to lift them. The job took three days instead of the anticipated two, because of the idiosyncrasies of our old house. The timing was almost too good to be true: Just about an hour after the job was completed, the first rain of the season started in earnest, breaking our long drought. We sat on our front porch and watched as water rushed down the two decorative copper rain-chains that had just been installed at each of the front corners of the house. And because we decided at the last minute to purchase these two rain chains, Ralph voluntarily reduced the price of the job by $480 because of the copper he had saved on down-spouts.
In a nutshell, we had an exceptional experience with Brothers Sheet Metal, and can recommend them wholeheartedly to all!

I interviewed two companies for the project, both where comparable in price. I chose Brothers to do the job because Ralph Flores the owner who came out and accessed the job really analyzed the water flow on the property. He showed me the best way to move the water flow away from the house and advised ways to move it to the plants and lawn.
I was in the process of putting a new roof on the house. Ralph pointed out that one of the exit doors needed a channel to be installed by the roofer so that when the gutters where installed Ralph could attach a unit above the door to divert the water away from the exit. Ralph spoke to the roofer and discussed what was needed.
It was an all day install job the workers showed up on time. The crew worked diligently and cleaned up when they where finished.
When the actual work was in progressed it turned out that some extra gutter material and labor was needed to finish the job Ralph was kind enough not to charge me extra, by the way the extra work was needed because of something I changed.
in the new year I will be using Ralph to install some extra gutters that are needed on another property that I own.

The quality of workmanship seems very good though it hasn’t been tested in a rain yet. Will report back once the job has seen its first rain.
