The whole process was smooth. It was a pretty big job and took about a day and a half to complete . Ralph and crew were polite, worked well with the other trades on the site and cleaned up after themselves. The bid was also competitive to others I had received.

The owner- Ralph is an unusually trustworthy, knowledgeable professional. His lucid, straight forward presentation on his various gutter hardware products and installation details is as convincing as it is inviting.

My wife dislikes the conspicuous round-cornered aluminum downsprout with multiple vertical creases. Unlike all other competitors, Ralph, who owns the Brother Sheet Metal Works, was able to offer an unique customer-made alternative – an inconspicuous yet much stronger bondorized steel squarish downsprout that blends so well with the vertical wall, it almost ?disappeared? into the background. Also, Ralph’s seamless aluminum gutters offers two extra ?beads? on both edges that strengthen the structure of the gutter. He also uses 3′ long galvanized hex screws and strong hidden hangers for installation to reinforce the durability and stability of the gutter especially for long stretches. Even more importantly, Ralph’s use of a rarely used method to construct rectangular (90°) bents (instead of using per-farbricated ?sleeves?) is even more appealing both for economy and good looks of the finished gutter system.

Of more than a dozen contractors with whom we have dealt with recently in a few different jobs, Ralph distinctly stands out for his professionalism, attitude and personality for he is a very pleasant yet solid and sincere individual. Ralph’s personal quality and professionalism are well reflected, too, in his three-man crew headed by Jairo. They are punctual, friendly and super efficient yet respectful and patient in responding to customer’s questions and volunteered to do a little extra paint mending on the downspouts. The crew’s skill, meticulousness and attention to details are commendable. In fact, Ralph is so confident of their work, he offers a lifetime warranty covering the materials and craftsmanship for the life of the home.

The work was completed beautifully beyond the expectation of the customers in a day without any bother to us. Working with Ralph and his crew has been our pleasure and we prize it as a rare good fortune. We do hereby recommend Ralph and Brother Sheet Metal exceptionally highly to each and everyone seeking gutter replacement/repair work.

I got two other estimates from Angie’s List contractors for the same work. The real selling point aside from the professional and enthusiatic estimate provided by Ralph Flores, was the company provides a lifetime warranty that cover materials and craftmanship. The price was mid-way between the other two estimates I received. Ralph’s written estimate that clearly detailed the work to be performaed including the lifetime warranty. The work was done very professionally and with little interference to our life. We actually had a good deal of rain in April and the gutters worked perfectlly. They look great too. No doubt I would hire this company again.e

We got 3 estimates. Although Ralph’s estimate was not the lowest, he was the only one of the 3 who came up with a solution to our problem. Our house was built between two hills and water would collect on the northeast side of the house and seep into the foundation. He suggested taking the water down on the northeast side and moving it under the house and out the other side so it ran down the hill instead of collecting and causing problems. Also, even though he did not receive our down payment in time (for some reason the U.S. post office delivered it about 2 weeks after the job was completed, he went ahead and scheduled the job and accepted a replacement check that day and then we mailed the final payment once the job was done. Very professional yet understanding that we were not trying to get out of paying him as agreed. We would definitely use him again.

I called, they made the appointment, they ended up calling back to figure out what would be best. Ralph Flores came out and talked to me was really a nice fellow, and was very punctual.

When Ralph showed up, I had a few other workers over, and I was very busy. He said not to worry, when I finally got to him, he had already taken all the measurements, and had my bid written up and ready to go.

My wife left a messague for Brothers Sheet Metal on a Wednesday afternoon to set-up an appointment for an estimate to replace and install rain gutters for our home. Sofia returned the call two times and left messages on Thursday. I called Brothers on Friday and left a message. Ralph promptly returned my call and was at the house to give an estimate for the work that afternoon.
Ralph is a super nice guy and his expertise and knowledge about rain gutter installation is top notch. He has been doing this for 22 years. Ralph gave me a quote on the spot and it was very reasonable. My wife and I made the decision to go with Brothers on Saturday and the installation was complete by Tuesday afternoon.
Ralph and his crew were prompt, efficient, quiet and clean. Other than the newly installed rain gutters, you’d never know they were on the property. Ralph took the time to walk around the house and explain where the downspouts would go and accommodated every request.
The installation looks great. I guess we’ll know how it works if and when we ever get some rain.
I highly recommend Brothers Sheet Metal for rain gutters.
Thanks.

Ralph Flores is an excellent person who knows his trade well. He came out to look at my headache of a problem with gutters on the house we just purchased and even though the previous owner had to install a new roof for the purchase to go through, they replaced the old gutters, that were undersized and sectioned instead of seamless, back on the roof.

The old gutters leaked and even overflowed in one section (like Niagra Falls) due to the the fact they were installed in a reverse slope of to the downspout and not enough downspouts.

The overflow was pouring onto the back deck and splashing on the rear wooden door that was being destroyed for years by the problem.

As I am mechanically inclined and nit-picky, I asked Ralph many things and even questioned his remedy of installing standard seamless 5″ gutters (a step up from the current ones) at the proper angle, which the roof slope made difficult due to the sagging of that area, and just adding 2 more downspouts. I didn’t think that would be enough to fix the problem considering the volume of
water that would overflow when it rained hard. He assured me that his remedy would do the trick and went with his decision.

Ralph and his crew arrived right on time and were very friendly. Ralph explained the situation to his team and the foreman was always showing me how they calculated and fabricated their art when I asked. All the corners were custom cut and riveted so there were no fitted joints. (one less area to leak). They completed very skilled work and made everything look so much better. Everything was cleaned up and hauled away.

I was still skeptical about the remedy and couldn’t wait for it to rain again to see how it would do. A few days later at 2:00am, sure enough it did, so I got my flashlight and checked every square inch of the gutters. Like Ralph said, it all worked great!

The rain gutters are beautiful! They look great and match my home. They worked hard to make sure I was pleased with all aspects of the job.

New 5? gutters were installed on the three sections for the existing house. In the end, the new 5? gutters needed to be removed and replaced with 6? gutters, in to properly catch the runoff rain water.

The date of the estimate was miscommunicated and Ralph called to apologize for the confusion.
